My other half and I (Jessica) are members of a local Historical Society. Every so often we arrange a trip somewhere of historical or cultural importance. This weekend a handful of us braved the weather forecast and set off to visit Rathlin Island, a community of around 100 people off the top of Ireland. 45 mins on a ferry brings you from Ballycastle to the harbour at Rathlin.
So we walked, saw a colony of seals and a perigean falcon, peered over very high cliffs, ate in the lovely Manor House and slept in a converted cow shed. I also got my nose burnt even with the sun hiding behind clouds most of the time!! Typical N.Irish weather!!
