Juno (and I) reach 5 months

My babe is 5 months old now. How life has changed in such a relatively short space of time. She is fully rolling over now and will crawl soon I reckon. Such a joy, though so exhausting!

Making Juno's Thank-you Cards

Four and a half months in and I finally get round to making, writing, photographing, blogging, and well not quite yet, sending little Juno's baby thank-you cards.
I screen printed them first, front and back, then finished each off with some metallic letter pressed text.
Phew...definately having a baby reduces any spare time to basically none.
As I sit and type, she sits on my knee, trying to hit the keyboard, whilst boking over my free hand.

and then there was a nursery

I've been meaning to share this for ages, the transformation of an unusual dead space in our house into a makeshift nursery (sans cot). Well actually before it was a space to dry laundry and generally dump stuff.
When I got to grips with being pregnant I started to wonder where a baby was going to fit into our small seaside house. This space was ideal for a changing station and chest of drawers to house little Juno's extensive clothes collection- it's already spilling out of space.
And so it was transformed with the help of some washi tape houses, string lights and a few ikea essentials.
Do you approve?

Life lately

Life here lately has been pretty busy.
Juno Hollywood Moore was born in the water on the 30th May at 4.30am. My labour started with a stunning sunset and ended just as a beautiful, warm dawn was breaking.
Life hasn't really been the same since.
So today as I write this she is 12 weeks old and is growing into her character more and more as the days and weeks go on.
Last week we managed our first holiday together as a new family. After the car was packed (very full of baby contraptions) we set off across Ireland to Co. Mayo on the west coast to visit Alice in her idyllic lake house.
It was super relaxing and so refreshing. The swim in the lake worked wonders!

Sponge stamping fun at Eden Pottery

Today me, my two sisters and my mum had a lunch date at Eden Pottery, a short drive away from our home in Bangor, N.I. It's mums birthday at the weekend so we thought this would be a fun thing to do to mark the occasion, and just to get out and do something together as a family.
The idea was to go and decorate a piece of pottery of our choice, then sample the delights of the deli counter. The setting was beautiful- a large conservatory type building surrounded by green fields.
After getting over the initial fear of deciding what vessel to choose, what colours, what design..... we had a ball and really enjoyed seeing our creations come to life.
In a few days time we will be able to pick them up, fired and glazed and ready for use.
A great day out.
